Storm is the juniper at its most alive, dark, wind-shaped, a little wild. This study works in deep blue-greens and slate tones, the look of a hardy tree that has weathered an exposed ridge and kept its footing.

The foliage is built from Czech glass seed beads on hand-twisted copper wire, each cluster worked into the dense, characterful branching a juniper carries. The trunk is deliberately twisted, leaning into the wind-bent line the species is loved for, and it is anchored to a dark river stone that suits its mood. Several days of bench time go into it, and the finished tree stands roughly 23 to 27 cm. Made to order and shaped freehand, so no two are alike.
