Refund & Returns

Each piece is handmade to order, so please read this before you commission a tree.
Custom commissions
- A 50% prepayment is required to start your order. This prepayment is non-refundable once work has begun, because materials are purchased and time is reserved specifically for your piece.
- As custom pieces are made uniquely for you, they cannot be returned or refunded once completed, except where the item arrives damaged, defective, or is not what was agreed.
- Small differences from any preview are expected — handmade, artistic interpretation — and are not grounds for a refund.
Cancelling before work starts
If you cancel before the maker has begun, your prepayment is refundable minus any materials already bought for your order. Once weaving has started, the prepayment is non-refundable.
Damaged or wrong items
If your order arrives damaged or is not what was agreed, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos at beadedbonsaistudio@gmail.com. We will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.
Ready-made shop items
Non-custom items bought from the shop may be returned within 14 days if unused and undamaged; return shipping is paid by the buyer. Refunds are issued once the item is received and checked.
