Pine · Mist
Mist softens a pine the way early morning softens a forest, edges blurred, colors hushed. This study works in pale grey-green needles touched with silver, a tree seen through the quiet of dawn.
The needled canopy is the slow, careful part of this build, each tuft formed from Czech glass seed beads on hand-twisted copper wire, then arranged into the tiered, layered structure that gives a pine its calm architecture. The trunk is sturdy and lightly weathered in shape, anchored to a pale river stone. Several days of bench time stand behind it, and the finished height runs roughly 23 to 27 cm. Made to order and shaped entirely by hand, so no two share a silhouette.
This handmade beaded bonsai tree brings understated calm to a desk, an office, or a shelf that needs a steady note. It is a grounded, meditative piece and a meaningful handmade gift for someone who values quiet and permanence.
Keep your piece out of direct sunlight and away from steam or damp. Dust gently with a soft, dry brush — never water or cloth. Branches can be reshaped lightly by hand. Cared for simply, a beaded tree lasts for decades.
