Some trees are about flowers. This Pine is about endurance. Deep evergreen needles cluster along strong horizontal branches, the silhouette of a tree that has stood through every season and intends to stand through many more.

The needled canopy is the patient part of this work, each tuft built from Czech glass seed beads on hand-twisted copper wire, then arranged into the layered tiers that give a pine its quiet architecture. The trunk is thick and slightly weathered in form, anchored to a dark river stone for contrast. Plan on several days of bench time and a finished height of roughly 23 to 27 cm. Made to order and shaped entirely by hand, no two share the same line.
