Maple · Autumn
Autumn arrives all at once on this Maple. Amber, rust, and burnt orange crowd the canopy in the colors of a forest at its peak, the kind of warmth you want to keep long after the real leaves have fallen.
The piece is assembled from Czech glass seed beads, each one placed on hand-twisted copper wire and layered into a dense, turning canopy. The branching is deliberately irregular, the way a real maple grows, and the trunk is mounted on a flat river stone chosen for its balance. Expect roughly two to three days of bench time and a finished height around 24 to 28 cm. Every tree is one of one, shaped freehand rather than from a mold.
A wire tree sculpture like this belongs where people gather, a mantel, a reading nook, a shelf of things that matter. It holds its color forever and asks for nothing but the occasional dusting. A considered handmade gift for an anniversary or a milestone worth marking.
Keep your piece out of direct sunlight and away from steam or damp. Dust gently with a soft, dry brush — never water or cloth. Branches can be reshaped lightly by hand. Cared for simply, a beaded tree lasts for decades.
